If you’ve relocated to a new state and/or need a secondary account that covers a different state from your current one, you must create a new HomeLight agent profile, as your current profile and stats cannot be transferred to the new location*.
- Please follow the steps to set up your new account: How to sign up with HomeLight
- Additionally, you will need to have at least 15 sales in the new area within the last 24 months before you are eligible to be picked up in our algorithm for referrals in your new area.
- Please note it is required to use a different email address than the one associated with your current profile.
- If you need to use your current email address associated with your HomeLight profile on your new account, please contact us here.
*If you are dually licensed in a neighboring state with overlapping transactions, two HomeLight accounts are unnecessary. However, you'll need to ensure your profile is set up in the state where your home office is located.
FAQs

How do I transfer my referrals from my old account to someone else?
HomeLight's referrals are non-transferrable and are attached to you as the agent. If you have relocated to a new state, you will need to sign in to your existing account and remove these referrals from your portal by updating them to the "Failed" stage since you will no longer be working with them.
Note: In the event of an improper transfer of a referral made by the agent, the agent will be required to pay the referral fee associated with the closing.
