Edit the details to a Submitted Offer
As a Buyer Agent, if you’ve submitted an offer on a property via the HomeLight Listing Management (HLM) software you can edit the offer details or upload additional documents.
When making updates to your offer the Listing Team will not be able to see these changes until they are submitted.
How It’s Done
Step 1 – Navigate to the For Buyers Tab
Step 2 – Select the Property Package
In the For Buyers view select the property package that contains the offer. Then choose the Offer tab, there will be an option to Edit the offer found above the Summary of Terms.
Step 3 – Update Information
Use the tabs at the top of the screen to select what part of the offer needs to be updated.
Step 4 – Submit Update
When making updates to your offer the Listing Team will not be able to see these changes until they are submitted. If you do not want to save the changes you made there is a cancel option that can be selected.
What’s Next?
Notification Sent to The Listing Team
The listing team will receive an email notification whenever you add documents. This notification will include the name of the document added and a prompt to Review the offer.

Q: Will the Listing team know that I am removing documents?
- A: Removing or replacing documents is not a notification that is sent out to the Listing Team.

Q: Can the Listing Team see that I am editing my offer?
- A: No, the Listing Team will not be able to see the information you have entered while editing the offer. They will not be able to see changes until you submit the update.

Q: I submitted an offer on a property on accident, what should I do?
- A: There is an option to rescind an offer on the right-hand side of the screen. We recommend reaching out to the Listing Team as a courtesy, to let them know that your client's offer will be rescinded. The Listing Team will still have the ability to review any information you have provided in this offer after it has been rescinded.
