FAQ's
- I'm making an offer on a home or listing with one of my referrals, what would be my next step?
Upon making offers on or listing the property, log-in to your HomeLight agent portal and access your Referrals dashboard. Locate the referral by searching the client’s name or the property address and update the following information depending on the type of referral:
Buyer Referrals should be updated to "Making Offers"
Seller Referrals Should be updated to "Listing"
- The property just went into escrow, how should I update the referral in my agent portal?
Once in escrow, log-in to your HomeLight agent portal and access your Referrals dashboard. Locate the referral by searching the client’s name or the property address and update the following information:
- I have a question about an active listing or an upcoming closing, how do I reach out to the HomeLight’s Referral Closings Team?
You may reach our Referral Closings Team by emailing closings@homelight.com or calling (480) 401-1682.
- The contract fell through for one of my referrals and it's no longer in escrow, how can I update the referral?
In order to successfully move a referral out of escrow for a property that was previously in escrow, kindly submit a copy of the cancellation document to closings@homelight.com. The referral stage will be updated once the Closings Team verifies the submitted documentation.
- I successfully closed on a property, how do I pay the referral fee and what documents do I need to submit?
Via ACH or Wire
When sending a wire or ACH transfer, please email closings@homelight.com with a
copy of the required settlement/closing documents. The account and routing numbers are
the same for paying via wire or ACH.

This is our preferred method of delivery if paying by check. HomeLight will provide a
prepaid FedEx Ground label for each closing. A FedEx label can be requested in your
HomeLight Agent Portal or via email at closings@homelight.com. Please reference the
client name and property address in your request.
You can request a FedEx label through the agent portal by updating the referral to In Escrow, selecting FedEx as the payment method and inserting your email address
